Katie leads the infectious disease and assay development teams to identify and characterize monoclonal antibodies with high therapeutic values. She also serves as a critical functional point of contact for collaboration, technology licensing, and bioservices to support EliteImmune’s business operation and R&D progress.

Katie has over 10 years of experience in virology, protein characterization, antiviral therapeutics, vaccines, and assay development. Prior to joining Eliteimmune, she spent 4 years at Integrated Biotherapeutics researching vaccines and therapeutics for Arenaviruses and Ebolaviruses. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland’s Institute of Human under Dr. Wuyuan Lu where she focused on the assembly of HIV-1 capsid protein and identification of potential therapeutics. Her work has led to several high impact papers in Cell, Cell Reports, Science, Nature Communications, Journal of Infectious Disease, and Journal of Virology.
