Ray leads the antibody discovery team to deliver high-quality therapeutic candidates for downstream characterization and development. He oversees the single B cell and computational analysis platforms to support sustainable innovation in EliteImmune’s Research and Early Development department (eRED).

Ray brings to EliteImmune extensive experience in single-cell sorting and antibody isolation, antibody repertoire analysis, and rational protein design. Prior to joining EliteImmune, Ray trained with Dr. Yuxing Li at the University of Maryland-Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR), where he focused on high-resolution antibody response analysis, longitudinal analysis of antibody repertoires, and antibody-based HIV vaccine design. The greater part of his work has led to publications in several prominent journals, including Cell Reports, Cell, Nature Communications, Frontiers in Microbiology, and Journal of virology. Ray holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and a B.S. from Nanjing University.
